With the 2017-2018 NHL season coming to an end, it's time for us to create our list of top selling jerseys. This year features more than a few surprises that we're sure no one could've guessed at the start of the season. In this post, we'll look at rankings 5-1. Each day we will release the next 5 on the list until our top 25 best sellers are released!

5. Auston MatthewsToronto Maple Leafs

In his second year, Auston Matthews is in the top 5 for jersey sales. As the #1 choice for Leafs fans, Matthews beats out guys like McDavid, Crosby, and Ovechkin in our rankings. Having a couple of injuries over the course of the season, Matthews is still having a great season with 50 points. He's the future of the Leafs franchise and the obvious choice for a jersey.

4. Jonathan MarchessaultVegas Golden Knights

After having a career year in Florida, the Golden Knights snatched Marchessault up during the expansion draft only to have him break his personal best this season. Marchessault is currently sitting on 65 points (22G, 43A) and has been a big part of the Knights' success. Marchessault is the third Knight to make our list this season and deservedly so. With lots of strong options to choose from in Vegas, why not go with the guy who just signed a big contract?

3. Mathew BarzalNew York Islanders

Mat Barzal is having an incredible rookie year. Owning the top spot in Calder rankings, Barzal has been a beast for the Islanders. In his first year in the league, Barzal has 18 goals and a whopping 51 assists through 68 games. Mat has made a name for himself around the league and will be a big part of the Islanders future. If Barzal can secure the Calder, it'll make having his rookie jersey even more special.

2. Nico HischierNew Jersey Devils

Nico Hischier is another rookie having a great season. Although he hasn't been scoring at the same pace as Barzal, he has still managed to compile 43 points in his first year. After a surprising 2017 Draft Lottery seeing the Devils jump to pick first overall, Hischier has been a big part of the Devils' turnaround in the 2018 season. Young guys like Hischier are always great jersey choices as it ensures your jersey will be relevant for a long time.

1. Marc-Andre Fleury - Vegas Golden Knights

Marc-Andre Fleury is responsible for an incredible number of Vegas jerseys flying off our racks. The Knights' #1 puck stopper and fan favorite is our #1 jersey seller. Flower is having an incredible year with the Golden Knights and is helping to carry them into their first playoff berth in their first season, a feat that many experienced franchises are struggling with. Fleury has grown to become the face of the Knights franchise and one of the most-liked guys in the league. Fresh off of winning back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Flower is looking to add more in Vegas. When buying a Knights jersey, it's easy to have Fleury as your #1 choice.

Now that we've completed the list, which players' jersey sales surprised you the most? Who do you think will be on the list next year and who do you think will fall off? Can the Preds and Knights continue to dominate the ranks next season? Let us know your thoughts by tweeting us @CoolHockey1!
