Thanks to a breakout All-Star season with the OHL’s Peterborough Petes, Bogosian was a coveted prospect heading into the 2008 NHL Draft. He went third overall that year to the Atlanta Thrashers and was immediately welcomed into the club’s lineup. He reached double digits in goals as a sophomore in 2009-10 and spent that year as the team’s assistant captain. In 2011-12, he made the trip north as the Thrashers relocated to Winnipeg, but he often battled the injury bug as a member of the Jets. The 2012-13 saw him change his number from 4 to 44 and he was shipped off to the Buffalo Sabres part-way through 2014-15. For most of his time with the club, he wore the number 47, but was able to get back to the number 4 in 2018-19. The veteran defender was on the move in 2019-20 and wore two numbers in his first eight games with Tampa Bay, 24 and 4.
